This Infrared remote controller uses common household remote for controlling a relay. Normal remote controls use 38KHz signal for remote control of TV, DVD etc. That signal is detected by IR detector 1738 and each click turns the relay on/off. This is intended as school project due to non-dedicated button for control (any key of remote operates the relay). Students can understand InfraRed remote control principles better by experimenting with this kit.
Also, there is one on-off switch on the board for manual control of relay.
Output terminals are used as switch to turn on/off AC/DC device upto 250 V
